Ube Chemical Factory Wins the Ube Mayor’s Award at the Ube City Flowerbed Contest

The Ube Chemical Factory received the highest award at the 119th Ube City Flowerbed Contest, the Ube Mayor’s Award. The factory received the award for the fourth time, and also received a special gold medal. The award-winning flowerbed was designed to support the Tokyo Olympics, and was tended daily by three organizations in the factory: the Chemical Production Technology Group, the Fine and Advanced Drug Manufacturing Group, and the Specialty Products Manufacturing Group #1 . Through much hard work, the employees involved were able to create an Olympic-rings flowerbed, under the direction of team leader Toshiaki Kimura of the Ube Chemical Factory.
