UBE Supports Hideaki Anno Exhibition as Special Sponsor

UBE was a special sponsor of the world’s first Hideaki Anno Exhibition, held at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Art Museum from July 8 to September 4, 2022. The exhibition featured over 1,500 valuable anime materials drawn by Hideaki Anno, who was born in Ube City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, and included behind-the-scenes details on Anno, one of Japan’s leading creators.* The exhibition also included photos taken on location in Ube City in 2000, and some exhibits were related to UBE. The exhibition was a great success, attracting over 20,000 visitors from within and outside of Yamaguchi Prefecture.

* The exhibition featured pieces from anime and special effects works, which are Anno’s starting point, to the Evangelion series, which had an enormous influence on Japanese culture, and Shin Kamen Rider, which is currently in production.
