15th UBE Group Classical Concert (October 2022)

October, 2022

On October 9, 2022, the 15th UBE Group Classical Concert*1 was held at the Ube City Watanabe Okina Memorial Hall, with strict COVID-19 measures in place again, as in the previous year. This is the first time the event was held after the company changed its name to UBE Corporation. While keeping the basic concept of “Together with the People, Together with Music” in place, UBE has shifted the focus of the concert as a next generation music culture promotion project to children’s education.*2

It was the first time for the concert to be held on a rainy day, and the company is grateful to the many people who attended.

At the top of the concert, the conductor Eiji Oue introduced the concert pieces, speaking warmly about Beethoven’s thoughts on his meeting with Mozart, whom he admired. As at past concerts, these remarks were translated by a sign language interpreter.

Due to the ongoing COVID pandemic, a video recording of a string quartet is planned for the Friendship Concert to be held at a hospital, and a remote lesson is planned for the music clinic for Ube City junior high school brass band clubs.

For more information, please visit the website below.

*1. The name of the concert was changed from the UBE Industries Group Charity Concert to UBE Group Classical Concert.
